CONVERTIBLE TOP WARRANTY POLICY
California Convertible Tops specializes in convertible tops and related accessories. It is our commitment to provide the best product available today to our customers. If a warranty issue should arise we will handle your claim quickly and professionally.
These convertible tops are manufactured in California. The manufacturer is confident in offering this outstanding warranty because they have been supplying these professional grade convertible tops for the past six decades to professsional trim shops. Everything is manufactured with careful attention to detail, best quality materials and the expertise of craftsmen with decades of experience. However, sometimes thing can happen and problems can occur. When that is the situation the Warranty and customer service will become an important consideration.
Every convertible top is shipped with a copy of the Warranty. Prior to beginning installation please check your order to be sure that everything is correct - year, make, model, color and material. If there is an issue or a question please do not hesitate to contact us immediately These issues need to be address within 2 weeks of receipt of the item.
No credit or return will be issued once installation has been started except for defects in material or workmanship. Some items like glass window breakage, vinyl windows, thread, zippers and any other plastic, metal or rubber parts are not covered. This is a common disclaimer with every convertible top manufacturer warranty.
The Five Year Warranty is for defects in material and workmanship. Damage from incorrect instllation, shipping or incorrect cleaning is the responsibility of the installer and/or buyer.
We strong recommend all convertible tops be installed by an automotive trim or upholstery shop. They have the required tools and expenerience.
WHAT TO DO IF THERE IS A WARRANTY/RETURN PROBLEM
1. Contact us by phone or email with your order information and problem. We may request photos to document the problem before proceeding.
2. All returns must be assigned an RGR for proper return and credit information. We will assign that when we are contacted and approve the return. Anything returned without the RGR number will be returned to the sender.
3. If you are making a return please be sure that you use the original packaging taking special care of the vinyl or glass window.
4. If the problem was our error we will arrange for UPS pickup at our expense. If you are electing to return and the problem has not been determined the shipping expense will be the customer's reponsibility and a determination will be made upon inspection of the item. A 20% restocking fee may be charged for returns with reasons other than warranty issues. Only new, resaleable items will be accepted unless it is a warranty issue. Once installation has begun returns are only accepted for material defect or workmanship defect.
